This Sunday we continue our journey through the book of Acts. Our big idea for the series has been ‘Jesus founds his world-wide mission’. This Sunday grace arrests a Wolf: a persecutor of the church. He is then turned into a Lamb: humble and dependent before his master. And finally raised up again to become a Shepherd of the nations. His name is Saul, the man who will become Paul the great missionary to the Gentiles. While Paul’s conversion will not be exactly the same as our conversions to Christ at every point, the inner reality remains something for us all to experience. We will consider especially the supremacy of grace in Paul’s life, and ours.
