The King of the Cross

This Sunday we return to our series on Mark’s Gospel. So far in this series we’ve seen Christ: the Promised King, the King of Power, the King of Sinners, the King Unrecognised, the King of hearts- and this week we encounter Christ the King of the Cross.

Christ entered the stage of human history, proclaimed the kingdom, and did mighty works in the power of the Spirit. But when expectations were sky high that he would save his people from Roman oppression, turned his face towards a Roman cross.  This week we explore the centrepiece of all theology- the most radical & subversive deed our Creator has ever performed.

All welcome.
