Unfortunately Asa doesn't finish well and turns for help to other armies rather than to the Lord.
He gets a visit from Hanani the seer who tells him he is in some big strife. In that context we have 2 Chronicles 16:9 - "For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him". Great stuff!
However, for Asa things don't get any better. In later life it says he was afflicted with disease in his feet, however, "though the disease was severe, even in his illness he did not seek help from the Lord, but only from the physicians". Interesting - a message for us there!
May we finish our lives a whole lot better than Asa!
