Phil Hurwood is the vicar at St Lukes.
Phil and wife Helen have been at St Lukes since 1999, having moved from Kyabram in northern Victoria.
Phil’s desire is to see people come to know Christ in the context of a healthy, diverse and forward-looking church community.
This is expressed as people use their gifts, explore their callings, and support and encourage each other to be all that they can be.
He enjoys catching up with their adult children, walking by the sea and on the golf course.
In the AFL he follows the Melbourne Demons, for which he regularly takes some stirring.
Chris joined us in Feb 2013, having completed his theology studies and after a career at the NAB bank.
Chris loves building up people in faith, writing and playing music, seeing children and young people learn about Jesus.
A bone of contention is that he follows the Richmond Tigers in the AFL, but efforts are being made to reform him!
Diana has been family minister at St Lukes for the past six years, and loves nothing more than seeing people and families grow into all that God has for them.
She loves dancing with the kids at mainly music, and enjoys spending time with her grand daughter as well as hubby Paul.
In a previous life she worked in a bank and for a pathology company, but nothing beats working with families.
Liz leads our café ministry, Coffee on Kareela.
This means both pulling together a team of volunteers and building friendships in the local community.
Liz has a passion to see people connected with the church community in positive ways, and to reach those with no church background.
She and hubby Martyn have been part of St Lukes, well, let’s say for a long time, and are still in there doing what they love to do for God.
New ideas are never far away!
