This Sunday we begin a new series on the book of Joshua, entitled: The LORD Mighty in Battle. The Book of Joshua is one of the most contested yet fundamental parts of the Scriptures. It tells the true story of the giving of the Promised Land to God’s people under the leadership of Joshua, Moses’ protégé & successor. The text teaches us many truths about God & his people in the most dramatic way. Truths we need for our lives today. This fascinating part of the Bible even provides us with pictures and symbols that finally point to a greater Saviour than Joshua: the Lord Jesus Christ. The One who provides victory in a greater battle, and promises a greater land. So buckle up and join us for the next ten weeks as we explore this rolicking ride- the Book of Joshua.
